Appoint  of a Committee to Probe Kataragama Devalaya Shutdown   

A dispute that arose between the caretakers of the Devalaya and the Basnayake Nilame of the Kataragama Devalaya resulted the shutdown  of  the Kataragama Devalaya for a few hours recently.

The Department of Buddhist Affairs has taken measures to appoint a committee to probe this  incident, which will submit its report  within 45 days.
