Railway Services Back to Normal

The railway strike was launched by 12 trade unions over several demands including salary anomalies and recruitment outside the stipulated process of the Department of Railways. Followed by a discussion with the Ministerial Subcommittee, railway trade unions called off the week-long strike over various demands last afternoon.
Hence, railway services have returned to normalcy, the Railway Control room says. As railway employees started reporting back for duty all trains including mail service trains will be in operation from today.
