Railway Strike Continues

Railway Technical Services’ Union commence a 48-hour token strike at 4 pm yesterday (29) over three demands, including a 12.1 percent salary increase be implemented.

Followed by this, the office trains were operated as usual despite the ongoing strike action by the Railway Technical Services’ Union, the Railway Main Control Room said.

However, Control Room announced that there might be delayed as a result of the strike.

The President of the Railway Technical Services’ Trade Union Committee, Sampath Rajitha said that the strike would be in force till 4 pm tomorrow.
