(FASTNEWS | COLOMBO) – There is a high possibility for afternoon thundershowers with severe lightning in Sabaragamuwa, Central particularly in Kandy district, Western and North-western provinces and in Galle and Matara districts today (15), the Department of Meteorology stated.
Several spells of showers will occur in Northern and Eastern provinces and in Polonnaruwa and Hambanthota districts. Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places elsewhere after 2.00 p.m.
Fairly heavy falls about 100 mm can be expected at some places in Sabaragamuwa and Western provinces and Kurunegala district.
Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces during the morning.
