Transport cost of Students up due to increase in fume test charges

There are fourty thousand vehicles deployed to transport students through out the island. Central Union of  School Transporters Association revealed that they were compelled to pay Rs500 per seat to the Divisional Secretariat. Adding fuel to fire now their fume test charge has been increased to Rs 5,000. Most of their vehicles in use are over 3 years. Hence, this additional payment cannot be born by them. As a result this additional cost will be distributed  among the cost of transport of students. Therefore increase in transport charges  is unavoidable.
