Medical Faculty Students Demonstration in Colombo

To register their protest against  the Government decision to permit establishment of private Universities in Srilanka and specially against “Malabe “Medical college and facilities extended to them,this demonstration is organized. Procession commenced in front of Colombo University Faculty of Medicine and proceeding towards Fort Railway Station .From Fort Railway Station they are proceeding to Ministry of Health. Nearly 2000 students are participating in this protest demonstration. The carry slogans displaying the words ” The Government is selling Education and Health Sector”. By this act , people will lose confidence in the health sector.Heavy traffic congestion is experienced in Fort area. Motorists are advised to  take alternative roads, Police said.
