Arrest of a Srilankan Politician in Singapore for Indecent Behaviour with a Singaporean woman?

Ten days back ruling as well as opposition members of the Central Provincial Council undertook an official visit to Singapore. It is reported that one of the ruling party members said  to have been arrested by the Singapore Police for misbehaving with a Singaporean woman. On inquiring about this incident from Secretary to the Central Provincial Council, who participated in this trip, he said that he didn’t know about this. Further he said ,that he was not aware whether the said member has returned to the island.
When inquired from the Central Provincial Council Chairman, Nimalasiri, he responded saying that , if such a thing happened it must be an accidental one and advised media not to bother about it. Further , he said that he was not arrested, but taken  to the police. This particular member has not returned to the island due to attend his personal matters in Singapore,he said. But one thing is clear, that there is an attempt to hide this incident from the eyes of the Media.
