Hidden Euros in underwear- Gem Businessman caught

A Gem businessman aged  55-year-old from Galle was trying to board a flight to Singapore was intercepted and arrested by Customs officials at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), while he tried to smuggle out Euro foreign currency valued at over Rs.6 million.

He  was arrested at the Departure Lounge of the airport with Euro 38,530 concealed in his underwear. The total value of the seized Euros amounts to Rs.6,121,224.
