Additional Secretary, Daamayandi Jeyaratne Fled to a Foreign Country before her Arrest

Daamayandi Jeyaratne functioned as additional Secretary in the Ministry of Defence then. Gota functioned as Secretary to the Ministry of Defence.

Daamayandi Jeyaratne appeared before the Presidential Commission on Corruption and gave evidence in regard to fraud and irregularities that took place in Rakna Lanka Security firm which signed an agreement with Avant Garde.

Additional Solicitor General said to have recommended arrest of Daamayandi Jeyaratne .She is now working as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Under these circumstances Daamayandi Jeyaratne reported to have fled the country.
