Shortage of 70 Essential Medicines in Government Hospital

For the last two years , Government Hospitals are deprived of 70 essential medicines for Cancer, Kidney disease, Hypertension, Diabetes and many other diseases, said  a senior officials of the Ministry of Health. Reasons for this is said to be the delay in calling tenders for these medicines.Delay was caused deliberately or accidentally is to be investigated and responsibility fixed by the Health Ministry.

This act create  artificial  shortage of medicines and urgent  medical supplies to be called at higher prices thus paving way for some hidden hand to get commission,  said the official.
