Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) Chief Secretary Tilvin Silva stated that the government should act fast to proceed to a General Election in the immediate aftermath of appointing members to the Constitution council and initiating the Independent Commissions created by the 19th Amendment. He further stated that is a new election system is to a put into motion it should be a system that gives fair representations to all factions. He made this statement form JVP headquarters in Battaramulla today (04). He also stated that MP’s backing former President Rajapakse disrupting proceedings in Parliament to bring the country to state of lawlessness and no proper leadership. Mr. Silva said that such proceeding if come into fruition will be the fault of the Government for not taking any measures towards prevention.
