The Teacher’s Lounge of Mayurapada National school was declared open yesterday (04) Wayamba Province Chief Minister Dayasiri Jayasekara.
The opening of the lounge had been put on hold for a while.
Addressing the event the Chief Minister stated that the Education Minister had gone to many lengths to prevent him from being the chief guest at the opening.
In response to this statement Minister Akila Viraj Kariyawasam stated that it was not a decision for his convenience to postpone the opening but an accommodation of a request made by parents and teachers.
