EPDP to Form A Coalition with UPFA

The United People’s Freedom Alliance says it has held successful discussions with the EPDP to form a collation to contest the forthcoming local government election.

The discussions were held between the UPFA General Secretary, Minister Mahinda Amaraweera and the leader of the EPDP MP Douglas Devananda at the Parliamentary complex.

Issuing a communique, the General Secretary of the UPFA said they will continue to hold discussions with several other parties to strengthen the Alliance.

President Maithripala Sirisena chairs the Alliance with Sri Lanka Freedom Party as the main constituent party.
