Two Suspects Further Remanded Over Seizure Of LTTE Caps

The  LTTE caps had been handed over to a courier service to be sent abroad. The package had been searched when the “from” address was founded to be suspicious. The suspects were arrested after following CCTV records in Vavuniya post office. They were being questioned under detention orders.
Investigators believe that a cap used by a senior leader of the terror outfit is also in the stock seized.
Over the seizure of a stock of LTTE caps, Colombo Additional Magistrate Aruni Attigalle today remanded two former LTTE suspects  till June 1.
Meanwhile, the CID informed court that the main suspect in the case is still at large and investigations are being carried out to apprehend the suspect.
