Indian Two Naval Ships For Relief Work In Sri Lanka

A tropical cyclone, Ronau, hit Sri Lankan coast three days back causing massive flooding and landslides leaving scores dead and displacing over a hundred thousand people.
India is dispatching Naval ships to assist Sri Lanka which has been devastated by continuing  rains and flooding over the last few days.
Defence Ministry sources said today that two Naval ships, one Naval Off Shore Patrol (NOPV) INS Sunayna and one survey ship INS Sutlej, are being sent to Colombo from Southern Naval Command in Kochi.
“INS Sutlej has already embarked with relief material and INS Sunayana will leave shortly,” sources said.
