India and Japan Assists to Srilanka

Two naval ships with relief aid dispatched by India to assist Sri Lanka devastated by incessant rains and flooding over the last few days arrived in the island yesterday(20)
The ships include relief aid such as temporary tent cloths, wind-powered boats, additional diving equipment, essential medicines and medical equipment.
Furthermore, India has informed the Sri Lankan government to make any further requests for aid via the Indian High Commissioner’s office in Colombo.
India has also dispatched a C-17 aircraft to Sri Lanka to assist in the rescue operations of flood victims.
Meanwhile, an aircraft from Japan carrying relief aid arrived in Srilanka yesterday night.
The relief aid included water purification equipment, tents and electric generators amongst other essentials for the victims.
