Actress and Drug dealer “Wele Suda” have secret transactions
Actress Udayanthi Kulatunga’s sister Chamila Krishanthi Nilmini Kulatunga has been asked to appear before Court on the 19th of June to give a statement regarding her bank accounts and an a notice was issued to the Crime Investigation Department (CID) by Colombo Chief Magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya yesterday (11).
She is suspected for having mad monetary transaction with large scale drug dealer Gampola Vidanage Samantha Kumara better known as “Wele Suda”.
This Notice was issued considering a request made through a Motion sheet submitted by Attorney Asela Rekawa naming Krishanthi Kulatunga as an Applicant.
In accordance to this incident Mrs. Kulatunga filed a motion to court stating that all Bank accounts in her name and holdings at financial institutions have been put on hold through an injunction.
She further stated that because of the Injunction she is unable to even access an amount of 1,000,000 rupees that her husband had loaned her sister and she had returned.
Attorney Asela Rekawa states that “Wele Suda” had met actress Udayanthi in Dubai at a Musical concert and based on that friendship had given her an amount of 360,000 rupees for a Tele-drama production of hers. He also stated that the actress had then handed over the amount to her Producer.
