JVP ‘s Petition on KP Was Postponed

The JVP  petitioned the Appeal Court  for the arrest of LTTE Kumaran Pathmanathan alias KP and initiate  legal action against him. The petitioners stated Kumaran Pathmanathan was involved in financial activities and arms trafficking for the LTTE.The petitioners  have  levelled charges of arms trafficking and money laundering against  KP.It has been requested to issue directives to the Inspector General of Police to take legal action by arresting KP under the Prevention of Terrorism Act.The petition filed by the JVP against the former international leader of the LTTE Kumaran Pathmanathan alias KP was taken up at the Appeals Court today(30).

The court of appeal has put off the case to 25th July and extended prohibition for foreign travel to 26th July.
