Development Took Off The Government in East – PM

Prime Minister made a visit to the East to see development work under taken there.In the discussion PM said that Trincomalee city will converted as a modern city in the world. We have signed an agreement with Singapore for this purpose. By developing Trincomalee  other adjacent cites too will get developed. Further we have decided to extend express way to the East, he said

Apart from this, we considered developing fishing  and farming in the East. Not only Trincomalee, but plans are underway to develop Batticaloa too. As a first step lands occupied by Army will be released step by step. A committee  appointed to look in to release of land will accelerate its work, he said.
