Mt Lavinia Police OIC Remanded Until 27 th June 2016

The OIC of the Special Crimes Investigation Unit of the Mt Lavinia Police has been arrested by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption red handed while  he was accepting a bribe of Rs. 20,000 from a woman, an official said. The cop in question had demanded a bribe of Rs.100,000 from the woman who is a resident of Kalubowila to arrest an individual. The suspect was   produced before the Colombo Chief Magistrate today(21) and the Magistrate ordered to remand him until 27th June 2016.
