Special measures to prevent MERS virus in SL

The Ministry of Health says that special steps are in place to ensure the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome, universally known as the MERS virus, which has now spread to South Korea, from entering Sri Lanka.

Dr. L. B. H. Denuwara, Health Ministry’s director in charge of quarantine, stated that those travelling from the infected countries will be subjected to a special check at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA).
