There is widespread rumors in Government Political Circles that deputy minister of State Enterprise – Eran Wickremaratne will be the next governor of the Central Bank after Arjuna Mahendren’s contract of employment expires on Thursday 30th June 2016.
Once he is appointed as the Governor of the Central Bank , his vacant position in Parliament will be given to former Parliamentarian Rosy Senanayake.
In the meantime , the deputy minister said that he had not been offered the post of Governor of Central Bank and he too came to know about this from media only.
