Salawa Assessments Towards the End.

Seetawaka Divisional Secretary M. M. S. K. Bandara Mapa said, about 90 per cent of the assessment of properties damaged during the Salawa army camp explosion has been completed.

He told the press that the allocation of compensation payments would be carried out within the next two weeks.

All properties, with damages under one million rupees of which there are 1790, will be paid during the first phase.

Further he said that under the second phase, the assessment reports have already been prepared for compensation to be paid out for the remainder of the properties with damages exceeding one million rupees.
