To Increase Revenue, Acquire Property if Property Rent Payment Is Evaded- Faizer Mustafa

Participating in the discussion held at the Uva Provincial Council auditorium, the Provincial Council and Local Government Minister Faizer Mustafa instructed secretaries and commissioners of  all local government bodies to acquire properties of persons not paying property rents and a  programme should be prepared for preventing wastage and corruption in local government bodies.

 Further he  instructed the officials to take legal action against contractors who do not complete projects within the scheduled timeframe and that no project should be launched without revenue and expenditure inspection.

The Minister also said that his aim is to increase next month’s revenue generation of local government bodies by 25 per cent more than this month.
