Colombo Additional Magistrate Ordered Arrest of Namal & 6 Others

FCID has filed  a report in the Colombo Additional Magistrate court stating that Namal Rajapaksha and six others have failed to account for   LKR 125 Million worth of shares purchased.
The complaint alleged that Rajapaksa bought shares of a company named Hellocorp while being a MP, from the money he has earned by illegal means.
This company is now known as the Gowers Corporate Services (Pvt) Limited, the complaint said further.
On March 9, Colombo Additional Magistrate Nishantha Peiris ordered four fixed deposits of Gowers Corporate Services (Pvt) Limited, allegedly owned by MP Namal Rajapaksa, to be frozen over the investigation under Money Laundering Act.Followed by this FCID filed report in the court today.
After considering the FCID report, the Colombo Additional Magistrate has ordered to police to arrest Namal and 6 others forthwith and produced before the court.
