Former TNA MP Piyasena Remanded Again Till 5th August 2016

Former TNA MP Piyasena was further remanded till 5th August 2016 by Colombo Fort Magistrate for alleged misuse of a vehicle given him by the Prime Minister’s Office.

The MP had requested for a vehicle in February 2015 and has allegedly failed to return it after the August 2015 general election. He was defeated in that election. A driver brought the vehicle to the Kollupitiya Police on 28th July 2016. He was arrested by the Colombo Crimes Division  the next day.
