18 new trains to Sri Lanka

 

Sri Lanka Railways Cabinet has approved the purchase of 160 passenger trains sets and 18 Diesel Engine sets.  The decision was taken to strengthen the train services given to the public. Also 30 fuel transportation tanks were approved for purchasing.

This decision was taken by the cabinet ministers consulting the content of the 2015-2020 national Railway development strategy plan.
