President to open The Steuart hotel in Colombo

The Steuart by Citrus, the latest addition to Colombo City’s tourism offering will be declared open on the 26th of June 2015 by Honorable Maithripala Sirisena.

Located at the very heart of Colombo, The Steuart will operate as a boutique business hotel offering the convenience of its prime location coupled with true Sri Lankan hospitality and traditional Scottish charm. The Steuart, owned by the George Steuart Group, will be managed by Citrus Leisure’s subsidiary Citrus Silver. The property adds 50 rooms to Sri Lanka’s graded inventory and is a reflection of the company’s commitment to the tourism vision of the country.

The Board of Directors of Citrus Leisure PLC stated, “We are excited about our entry into the Metro Hotel segment, which enables us to transfer our resort management expertise to managing a boutique business hotel.”
