Death Sentenced Duminda Silva Requests Acceleration Of His Appeal

Former MP Duminda Silva was sentenced to death along with three others in the  Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra murder case.

 Duminda   has filed an appeal against his  death sentence. He  made a request through his lawyers   to expedite the process of his appeal from the Supreme Court.  He made this  request  citing  his medical conditions.

A three member Supreme Court bench headed by Justice Priyasath Dep considered the request and ordered Colombo High Court Registrar to expedite the documentation process of the appeal brief.
