Bus Operators Unions Meet Today to Discuss Rs 25,000 Fine

Other than the Bus Operators Union led by  Gemunu  Wijeratne, all other  bus operators unions  and  individuals scheduled  to meet today (22) to discuss the impact on imposing Rs 25000 fine for selected 6 traffic offences, which were discussed and agreed upon between Gemunu  Wijeratne Group and the Minister of Transport and Minister of Finance  yesterday.

Gemunu Wijeratne  who participated in the discussion  yesterday said, that they accepted the quantum of fine after considering the increasing accident rate in the country. Gemunu will not participate  in today’s discussion.
