No Favouritism in Prisons – President

It has been brought   to the notice  of the President Maithripala Sirisena that certain prisoners were receiving privileges and facilities in prison based on their social status.

 The President said,  that immediate attention should be given to  these allegations.

“The judiciary and the law should be fair to all,” he  emphasised , while addressing the Annual Conference of Judges yesterday.
