Acting Chief Minister to the East

Eastern Province Chief Minister  Nazeer Ahamed  has gone to  Iran  to discuss  about  foreign investment to the East. On request made by other Ministers in the  Provincial Council,  Eastern Province Education Minister Thandayuthapani has accepted  the Acting Chief Minister post until   the returned of the Chief Minister to  the  island. Accordingly at 12. 45 pm yesterday  he took oath as  the Chief Minister before the Eastern Provincial   Council  Governor  Austin Fernando.
