Thewarapperuma Under Death Threat

North Western   Development and  Cultural Affairs Deputy Minister Palitha Thewarapperuma  complained  to the police that while he was waiting  at  the court complex vehicle park after  attending the court  session in connection with the another case two men arrived there  and threatened him with death for protesting against and environmental issue in the area.

 The suspect said, they would reopen the factory despite protest initiated by him. Mathugama police has investigated this matter.
