FR Petition Against COPE Report for Inquiry in March
Chief Incumbent of Nalandaramaya Nugegoda Thiniyawala Palitha thera cum one of the Directors of Lanka hospital filed a Fundamental Rights petition against COPE report on the controversy surrounding the Central Bank bond issuance.
The three member bench comprising judges Eva Wanasundara, Anil Gunarathna and Prasanna Jayawardene of the Supreme Court today(26) fixed the hearing on the 7th of March 2017 and issued notices to all 32 respondents cited in the petition.
All 26 members of the COPE committee, members of the Central Bank’s financial board, the Attorney General and the Governor of the Central Bank are among the respondents.
