Decision on GSP+ Facility to Sri Lanka Announcement on 15th May

The GSP+ scheme has been introduced by  European Union to help developing countries by granting full removal of tariffs on over 66% of tariff lines that cover a very wide array of products including, for example, textiles and fisheries. The GSP Regulation sets strict and clear criteria  to qualify for granting GSP+.
European Union has stated yesterday that the final decision on extending GSP+ facility to Sri Lanka, will be announced by 15th May 2017.
