The sittings of the Presidential commission on bond issue was temporally halted its action due to an issue that arose with regard to a circular issued on the treasury bonds last Thursday.
Secretary to the ministry of finance Dr. H.S Samaratunga who was summoned to the commission to give evidence said, that the circular on the treasury bonds was issued on the 1st of January 2015.
It was revealed that this was issued during the former president Mahinda Rajapaksa and the former minister of finance time in office.
To testify the date of gazetting bond issue, Acting Government printer, has been summoned to the Presidential Commission today.
Acting government printer Gangani Liyanage will be appearing before the commission today.
The former additional director of central bank debt department Mohammed Aseem has also been summoned.
