Wimal Commence Fasting in Prison

Following MP Wimal Weerawansa’s  bail application rejected by the Colombo High Court yesterday, he has commence fasting in prison to register his protest against keeping him in remand prison for 73^rd day.  He  was arrested on charges of misusing state vehicles, was further remanded till the 3^rd  April 2017.

In the meantime Joint Opposition  has decided  to write a letter to the Ministry of Justice  requesting release of Wimal Weerawansa from prison.
