Customs Detected 100 Cartons Of Cigarettes From a Chinese Woman

A Chinese woman  had arrived in the island from Shanghai and she had brought the cigarettes hidden in her baggage.

A total of 100 cartons of cigarettes was taken into custody by the Customs at  BIA   and it is reported that the haul was worth one million rupees. She has been arrested.

 A fine of 10,000 rupees was imposed on the Chinese woman.
Further investigations are proceeding on the instructions of Customs Director Rohitha Uduwawala
