New JanathaVimukthi Peramuna Alliance by 2020

JanathaVimukthi Peramuna (JVP)  General Secretary, Tilvin Silva has  invited  the general public to give up traditional beliefs on political alliances and to join hands with the JVP for a new change of polices.
In this connection JVP has  initiated  talks to form a new broad alliance by 2020.
Now a days JVP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake was in Kuwait while Parliamentarian Sunil Handunnetti was in Canada to gather support for the new alliance. For this purpose JVP had negotiation
with various social movements and civil society organizations to  form a broad alliance within the next two years.
Express his idea  Silva said ” During the last 68 years since independence all our governments have failed to achieve their goals. So now we have seen that even coalitions provides no difference. All parties are now placed in a weak position. No one can form a government of their own. But now the people of this country has an opportunity to change this entire unsuccessful system. We are currently building that political movement. We have already discussed the matter with various social movements and civil society organizations. All these discussions have become successful. We are also carrying out campaigns to raise the awareness of ground level voters. SO we are inviting our people to join hands with us to change the system without clinging on to the traditional party alliances”.
