Petition Challenging the Nomination Of SF Through UNP Nationalist Considered

Attorney-  at-  law  Ajith Prasanna has filed a petition at Supreme Court  challenging the  appointment of Sarath Fonseka to the parliament through the UNP national list, since he was not a member of the UNP, on July 12.

The petition was called today in  the presence of the tri-personal panel of Judges,  which included Chief Justice Priyasad Depp, Sisira de Abrew, and Nalin Perera, who decided to consider it.
