Court Summons Issued on MP Priyankara Jayarate….

Colombo Chief Magistrate Court  has issued summons to United People’s Freedom Alliance Parliamentarian Priyankara Jayaratne and his personal Secretary Baalamaanage Dayawansha to appear before the Court on the 21st of August in connection with the case filed by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption.

The Bribery Commission has alleged that MP Jayaratne during his term as Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation during the United People’s Freedom Alliance led government, influenced the Board of the Civil Aviation Authority to create a new post at the Authority and attempted to appoint his personal secretary Dayawansha to the post.
