Professor Carlo Fonseka Denounced Strike by GMOA

A group of GMOA members called over at former Chairman of the Sri Lanka Medical Council Professor Carlo Fonseka’s Nawala residence today  to hand over a letter to him, asking not to resign from the post of Chairmanship of the SLMC.

In response Professor Fonseka reported to have said, that he served the full term of office for 5 years plus on extension for six months and no need for him to continue. He denounced Doctors going on strike on his behalf in this issue and requested them not to proceed with it.
