Wife of Police Sergeant Killed in Nallur  While  on Duty Appointed as Sub Inspector

Police Sergeant Sarath Premachanra , who worked 17 years providing security  to the Jaffan High Court Judge M. Illancheliyan was shot dead by an assailant,  while on duty at Nallur, Jaffna .

His wife, who was working in the police had resigned for personal reasons 9 years back.

The IGP Poojith Jeyasundara has appointed her as Sub Inspector of Police and posted her to report for duty at a police station in her home  town.
