In Mahinda’s eyes Rs 25,000 fine appears unjustifiable

While addressing an event in Gampaha former president Mahinda Rajapakshe said, that revision of fines for traffic offences introduced after amending the Motor Traffic Act badly affects the three wheel drivers mostly. Further, he said the fine of Rs25, 000 fixed is very unreasonable.

All Ceylon Motor cyclist union is organising a protest demonstration to be staged shortly, said its’ Secretary Shirantha Amarasinghe.

Do they all want to go on killing spree on roads and become a law unto themselves, observers ask?
