Waste Management Programme to be Completed  by December

A discussion on streamlining the waste management in the nine provinces was  held at the Presidential Secretariat, yesterday(15). The President inquired officials about the current progress of waste disposal in the Colombo city and suburbs and it was also discussed regarding the streamlining of waste management in local government bodies under the environment conservation national programme.

After assessing the progress made in waste management, President Maithripala Sirisena instructed the officials to complete the implementation of proper waste management programme in the country by December.
