A/L Chemistry Paper Leaked :Tuition Master Remanded
The tuition master, who was wanted in connection with the alleged distribution of leaflets containing questions from the leaked Advanced Level Chemistry Paper, was remanded till 30th August.
According to Police, the suspect, whose whereabouts were previously unknown, had surrendered to the Gampaha Magistrate’s Court yesterday (28).
The father and brother of the main suspect, the tuition master, were arrested last Monday (21), and another suspect, who is believed to have printed the leaflets, was arrested last Tuesday (22).
The investigations started on 19 August after the conclusion of the Chemistry part II paper, when the suspect, who is a private tutor, began distributing pamphlets containing several questions from the Advanced Level paper. It has been reported that the tutor was distributing flyers in front of an examination centre in Gampaha. The Commissioner General of Examinations W. M. N. J. Pushpakumara stated that the actions of the tuition master were against the law.
