Priority Lane System Introduced From Maradana to Slave Island Today

The priority lane system for buses will be introduced from today (5)from the Maradana Technical Junction to Slave Island.
The Ministry of Megapolis and Western Development said,  with the exception of buses all other vehicles will be restricted from travelling along the priority bus lane plying towards Colombo between 6am to 9am. At present the priority lane system is in effect from the Katubedda junction to the Maliban Junction, Bambalapitiya to the Pittala Junction, and from DiyathaUyana to the Ayurveda Junction.
Furthermore the system in also active from Town Hall to Thunmulla.
In an extension of the move, the priority lane system is also due to be enacted from Slave Island to Fort on the 12th of September and from Borella to Maradana from the 30th of September.
