Probe into Srilankan Airlines Mismanagement Under Ex Chairman Nishantha in Progress

It is reliably learnt that the Government is moving to take action against the Ex Srilankan Board of Directors led by the Chairman Nishantha Wickramasinghe.  They are to be charged in the Court for the mismanagement of the Airline costing loss of over US$ 200 million to the Government of Srilanka in October.

 There are many serious charges against the board that are worse than recent case of  Sil cloth . The reflecting exercise of 2.3 billion and frauds in awards of tenders have been swept  under the carpet by Ajith Dias and Suren Ratwatta . The board had failed to follow proper tender procedure  , investigating officers revealed it. The investigations are nearing completion. Certain officials in the current airline , who have been protecting the former board over two years  will get exposed. Adhoc appointments made had caused a loss of over US$120 Million to the airline. Senior pilots states the current board is far worse than the previous board.
