Western Provincial Council member Prasanna Sanjeewa was arrested on Saturday (21) for obstructing the duties of government doctors of the Dharga town hospital and remanded until today (23).
A large mob inclusive of Prasanna Sanjeewa had staged protests at the hospital stating that the doctors did not treat a patient who had been admitted to the hospital after being struck by lightning.
When the case was taken up today(23), he has been granted bail by the Kalutara Magistrate’s Court.
