Ministries Utilized less than 50 % of the Budgetary Allocation for  2017 ? –Asu

Member of the Government Committee on Finance, Asu marasinghe said , that the Ministries have  failed to utilize at least 50 % of the budgetary allocation as at now.

Competence of the Ministries will be examined shortly. Attention will be given to monitor how each Ministry could utilize allocated funds.

In the year to come, it was decided to hold press briefing once in two months about Government’s financial activities. Expected tax for this year will be collected in association with the Department of Inland Revenue, revealed Asu  Marasinghe in a press briefing held yesterday.
